Workplace Security Policy
|
It is the
policy of the Public Library of Anniston and Calhoun County to maintain
a safe workplace, free from any threat of physical violence, emotional
abuse, or any form of intimidation. Employees, visitors, vendors, or
others are prohibited from bringing into the workplace any type of
weapon, explosive or destructive material. Any acts of vandalism,
sabotage, or threat of such acts will be immediately reported to the
Anniston Police Department. This policy is adopted for mutual
protection of all employees and visitors.
Employees are required to report any acts or threats of acts described by this policy to their immediate Supervisor or the Library Director. A Special Incident Report is to be completed by employee(s) and given to Supervisor or Library Director. At closing, each department will complete a closing checklist. Each task on the checklist must be performed and initialed by the staff member who performed the task. Maintaining a safe work environment is the shared responsibility of each employee and failure to comply may result in disciplinary action.
